Bjork – oh, so, quiet.
Oh, so, quiet by Bjork reminds me of my childhood. This is because when I was about 4 years old I would have it on repeat constantly; I learnt the words to this song before I could even read. It drove my family crazy, but it was my ultimate favourite for years. The song is so fun-loving, and every time I hear it, it immediately brings me back to my childhood.
Pink – Family Portrait
This reminds me of when I was growing up, it was very personal to me at the time, my family was going through a lot and on top of it all my parents were splitting up, I used to lock myself away and just listen to this song over and over again until I hoped that when I stepped out of my bedroom door that everything was going to return as it should be, When I hear this song it always does bring me back to those years.
Mumford and Sons – The cave
This song relates to my present day because I have recently passed my driving test a couple of months ago and ever since then I constantly hear this on the radio, it just gives me that sense of freedom that I associate with my car and now this song. So whenever I hear this song it does bring a smile to my face. More importantly it reminds me of a person who is constantly in my car with me, that’s my best friend, my sister Daisy, hearing each other scream our hearts out to this song always seems to cheer one another up. I hope this song always relates to my present day, even years down the line, because it reminds me of my two favourite things, my sister and independently sweet freedom.
